Practical Seminar on Youth Employment Held in Nishon District
A practical seminar was held in Nishon District aimed at ensuring employment for graduates and young people returning from labour migration, as well as involving them in entrepreneurship and income-generating activities.
In particular, in the “Paxtabod” mahalla, a young entrepreneur has established a greenhouse project covering 1 hectare with a total investment of 700 million soums. Cucumber cultivation has been launched in the greenhouse, providing employment for 26 unemployed young people.
Modern technologies have been introduced at the greenhouse, including a drip irrigation system, a solar photovoltaic power station, a heating system using a solar concentrator, as well as air exchange and ventilation systems.
In the “Qirqqo‘loch” mahalla, 15 young people were allocated a total of 15 hectares of land. In addition, with sponsorship support, 6 livestock facilities were constructed for 6 unemployed young people, with an average of 35 sheep and lambs kept in each facility. The total value of these projects amounts to 1 billion soums.
As part of a meeting between local authorities and young people, their appeals and proposals were heard. As a result, 20 graduates were employed by state and non-governmental organizations.
Appeals from several young people regarding obtaining preferential loans and launching entrepreneurial activities were positively addressed. In addition, responsible officials were assigned specific tasks to ensure employment or assist in launching entrepreneurial activities for 22 young people within five days.
During the practical seminar, practical measures to ensure youth employment, support their entrepreneurial initiatives, and involve them in income-generating activities were discussed.
