Uzbekistan and France discuss expansion of cooperation

The summit brings together representatives of various countries, international organizations, and major companies to discuss space technologies, innovation, scientific and technical progress, and the development of international cooperation in the sector.
The event also serves as an important platform for strengthening dialogue between governments and the private sector and identifying new areas for technological cooperation.
As part of the visit, Bobur Khodjayev, Head of the Department for Financial Technologies, Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence at the Presidential Administration, and Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies, held a meeting with Julie Huguet, Director of the Headquarters, La French Tech.
During the discussion, the parties addressed further developing cooperation between the technology and startup ecosystems of Uzbekistan and France, expanding opportunities for French startups to enter the Uzbek market, and helping local startups access the French and European markets.
La French Tech carries out initiatives aimed at supporting high-growth startups and technology companies in France, helping them access international markets, and connecting them with investors and technology ecosystem participants. Together with Business France and other government partners, the organization provides various forms of support to international startups, investors, and technology companies seeking to launch or expand operations in France.
The meeting also covered the main programs currently being implemented by La French Tech. The parties placed particular emphasis on institutionally strengthening cooperation between the startup ecosystems of Uzbekistan and France.
In particular, the sides discussed preparing a Memorandum of Understanding between IT Park Uzbekistan and La French Tech, as well as exploring opportunities to launch La French Tech's operations in Uzbekistan and establish a representative office there.
Opportunities to use IT Park's Soft Landing and Startup Exchange programs to attract French startups to the Uzbek market were also discussed.
In addition, representatives of the organization were invited to take part in the ICT WEEK Uzbekistan international event.
