During the discussions, the parties reviewed prospects for cooperation in the field of digital transformation, development of telecommunications infrastructure, expansion of IT service exports, and the introduction of effective insurance and reinsurance mechanisms aimed at supporting technological projects.
Particular attention was given to strengthening financial support instruments for the digital sector and creating favorable conditions for attracting international investment into Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing ICT industry.
The Minister highlighted that Uzbekistan has established the necessary legal, institutional and infrastructural framework for the accelerated development of the IT and telecommunications sectors. Information was also presented on the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan, the sector’s specialized insurance institution — JSC “ALSKOM INSURANCE COMPANY,” as well as ongoing reforms focused on advancing the digital economy and improving the investment climate for foreign partners.
It was also noted that Chinese technology companies operating in Uzbekistan, particularly Huawei, have already created employment opportunities for hundreds of young professionals and launched the export of remote digital services from Uzbekistan to international markets. In this context, it was emphasized that the country also offers broad opportunities and favorable conditions for other Chinese IT companies seeking to expand their regional presence and operations.
Representatives of SINOSURE presented the institution’s capabilities in export support, investment insurance, and financial protection mechanisms for projects in telecommunications and high technologies.
The parties additionally exchanged views on supporting banks, IT companies, and business entities operating in the telecommunications sector, as well as on the development of modern infrastructure and the provision of high-quality and affordable telecommunications services to the population.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides identified promising areas for further expanding cooperation in digital technologies, telecommunications infrastructure, and investment partnerships.
