Uzbekistan and Amazon Leo Discuss Advancing Cooperation on Satellite Internet Deployment

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with representatives of Amazon Leo to discuss elevating bilateral cooperation on the deployment of satellite Internet services in Uzbekistan.
The talks focused on Amazon Leo’s proposals for implementing satellite Internet infrastructure in Uzbekistan within the framework of the previously signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Amazon Leo.
Particular attention was paid to increasing service accessibility for the population, introducing advanced technologies, and enhancing connectivity options in the telecommunications market.
Discussions also addressed economic feasibility, opportunities for local businesses, and the long-term sustainability of the project.
