The Ministry of Justice issued a report to the public

For the fourth year now, the Ministry has been holding a meeting at which the existing problems in the system are openly discussed with the participation of journalists, bloggers and members of the public. 2023 is no exception.

March 28 this year in the media event "The Ministry of Justice made a report to the public" with the participation of the leadership of the Ministry, not only the activities of the Ministry, but also the main trends in the legal sphere in society were analyzed.

The event was organized by the Ministry in order to inform the media and the public about the work done in 2022, plans for the future, new projects planned to be launched, as well as establishing a close dialogue with the media community. The books "Reports on Justice: Results and Plans for 2022" and other books on legal topics are presented.

At the reporting event, Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov provided information on the activities of the ministry in 2022, problems in the field of rulemaking and plans for the future.

It is known that in 2022, in accordance with the relevant decree of the Head of State on the introduction of a unified administration in the Ministry of Justice, the Public Services Agency and the Intellectual Property Agency were attached directly to the Ministry of Justice, and their regional structures to regional justice bodies. As a result, an optimal control mechanism was achieved.

During 2022, the ministry achieved a number of achievements and received recognition. In particular:

• At the initiative of the Ministry of Justice, 56 laws, 54 documents of the President, 66 documents of the Government, 37 draft departmental legal documents were developed;

• out of 142.7 thousand applications received, 123.1 thousand were resolved in accordance with the established procedure, i.е. 86.2%;

• Over 11.7 million public services provided in 2022. This is 2.3 million more than in 2021;

• The provision of public services in electronic form increased by 21 percent. 25 new public services introduced;

• a 50% discount on utilities for disabled people of groups I and II was introduced;

• The Mobile-ID system was introduced, through which 488,087 citizens were served.

A number of innovations have also been introduced in the field of legal protection and protection of intellectual property:

• An information system "Unified Database of Copyright Objects" was developed to store copyright objects;

• The state information system "Register of offenses in the field of copyright and related rights" was developed;

• A procedure has been introduced for financial support by the state for the registration of individual objects of intellectual property;

• Possibility of electronic registration of objects of intellectual property and issuance of titles of protection by QR-code has been created.

As noted at the press conference, 2022 ended with administrative reform. As a result of them, there have been many changes in the Ministry of Justice, and they continue. In particular, the Personalization Agency was created under the Ministry. The agency "Uzarchiv" was transferred to the Ministry of Justice. Legal service centers, district (city) public service centers and their branches, as well as registry offices were transferred to the subordination of district (city) departments of justice, an integrated management system was created.

During the event, journalists and bloggers had the opportunity to get direct answers to their questions. A media tour around the ministry was also organized for the participants of the event.
