Discussions were held with the Deputy Director of the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund regarding areas of cooperation

The meeting was attended by Amanda Sayeg, Senior Economist of the Public Financial Management Division of the Fiscal Affairs Department, Vincent de Paul Cookpayzan, Senior Economist of the Revenue Administration Division, as well as Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Akhadbek Khaydarov, Chairman of the Treasury Service Committee Abdulaziz Khaydarov, and other responsible representatives.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed developing mutually beneficial relations, further expanding areas of cooperation, as well as, future plans and providing technical assistance on ongoing projects in economic and financial spheres.

In particular, during the discussions, the parties focused specifically on the following areas:

·       Strategy for improving the public finance management system;

·       Enhancing skills in local government development and effective use of budgetary funds;

·       Development of tax administration;

·       Cooperation on customs development;

·       Widespread implementation of modern artificial intelligence technologies across various sectors.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to enrich mutual cooperation with new initiatives, expand the process of exchanging views on the aforementioned issues, and conduct systematic and effective activities to achieve the designated goals.
