Namangan City Administration of Namangan Region

During the presentation, the Director of Namangan Suv Ta’minoti JSC provided detailed information on the construction works planned within the project, the expected outcomes, and its significance in improving the region’s environmental conditions and enhancing the quality of life of the population.

The total value of the project is USD 96 million. It includes the construction of a modern wastewater treatment facility with a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters per day, one wastewater pumping station, and 7.5 kilometers of wastewater discharge pipeline.

Upon completion, the project will significantly improve wastewater services for residents of Namangan City, Yangi Namangan and Davlatabad districts, as well as Turaqorgon, Kosonsoy, Namangan, Uychi, Chortoq, and Yangiqorgon districts. As a result, more than 245,000 residents will gain access to modern wastewater services.

During the presentation, special emphasis was placed on the introduction of the globally recognized Nereda biological wastewater treatment technology. This advanced technology will help reduce the environmental impact of wastewater treatment while further improving the ecological and sanitary-epidemiological conditions in the region.

The current condition of the existing wastewater treatment plant, which was commissioned in 1964, was also reviewed. Although the facility was originally designed to treat 100,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day, it is currently operating at only 45,000–70,000 cubic meters per day. Therefore, its reconstruction in line with modern standards was identified as one of the priority tasks.

At the conclusion of the presentation, the Governor of Namangan Region issued relevant instructions and recommendations to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
