In particular, activities such as ploughing, land levelling, closing unnecessary irrigation channels and drainage ditches, and cultivating unused plots along field borders to expand arable land are being carried out. At the same time, important measures are being implemented to use water resources efficiently, including concreting irrigation channels, fertilising wheat fields, and forming reserves of locally produced fertilisers.
The governor of Namangan region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov, visited the “Koroskon Uch Qahramoni,” “Shuhrat Bahrom Kozim,” and “Chortoq Fargʻona Mirishkori” farming enterprises to closely examine the progress of autumn fieldwork.
It was emphasised that performing each agrotechnical measure properly and on time is the foundation of next year’s successful harvest.
“Today’s labour is the groundwork for a bountiful harvest tomorrow. If we carry out agrotechnical measures on time and with quality, the productivity of every hectare will increase, our farmers’ incomes will grow, and sufficient food reserves will be formed for the population. Therefore, the current stage of work is extremely important,” the regional governor noted.
For reference: the total area to be ploughed in the district amounts to 6,872 hectares. At present, 5 work teams have been formed, and 19 pieces of machinery are involved in the process.
