The meeting discussed such issues as creation of the High School of Technological Metals jointly with the University of Colorado, support for startup projects of young specialists, creation of laboratories focused on technological innovations and equipping them with modern equipment, creation of special scholarship programmes for gifted students of our country to study at the Colorado School of Mines, provision of international grants for joint research projects. 

Also discussed were such initiatives as the introduction of dual educational programmes at the ministry's universities, the development of joint curricula through partnership with the Colorado School of Mines, the development of individual training programmes and the enhancement of specialists' competencies.
