The Center of Earth Remote Sensing and GIS-technologies of the State Institution “Institute of Mineral Resources” of the University of Geological Sciences is working on the division of Paleozoic deposits into 14 zones in order to create the National Spectral Electronic Library of various rocks and minerals on the territory of the Republic.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and the Agency for Innovative Development, a spectral library of 400 rocks and minerals was created on the example of the central part of the Bukantau Mountains.
To date, work is underway to supplement the spectral library with studies of rocks from the Tamdytau, Auminza-Beltau, North Nurata, and Gissar mountains.
In 2025-2030 it is planned to supplement and enrich the spectral library within the framework of projects in the East Bukantau, Sultanuvais, Aristantau-Sangruntau, Kuljuktau, Chatkal-Kurama, South Nurata, Ziyaudin-Zirabuliak and Karatyube-Chakylkalyan mountains.
