Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of the Atomic Energy Agency of the People's Republic of China and the China Energy Administration. During the talks they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation development, including agreements signed between the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan and major uranium corporations of the People's Republic of China during the visit of the head of our state to China in January 2024.

Specialists of Navoiuran visited the scientific centres BRICEM CNUC (geology) and BRIUG CNUC (technology) within the Chinese National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and got acquainted with the projects being implemented and technologies being introduced. 

During the foreign trip they familiarised themselves with the activities of enterprises for conversion and enrichment of uranium products, complexes for the production of fuel for nuclear power plants, and new innovative technologies used in the CNNC Corporation. Negotiations were also held with the management of the corporation on the introduction of these technologies in our country to create a product with added value.

As a result of the visit, a trilateral agreement was signed with the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Navoiuran State Enterprise and CNUC, which is part of CNNC Corporation, to conduct geological exploration at promising areas in our republic, as well as a Memorandum on the creation of an innovative scientific and technological centre for prospecting and extraction of uranium and other useful elements.

In order to ensure the implementation of the signed documents, it has been agreed that representatives of CNNC Corporation will visit Uzbekistan in September this year and start work.
