A major project in the food industry implemented in Samarkand

On May 15 of this year, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, participated in the opening ceremony of the Coca-Cola non-alcoholic beverage production plant in the Samarkand region.
The ceremony was also attended by James Quincey, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, and Tuncay Özilhan, Chairman of the Board of ANADOLU GROUP.
For reference: to date, there are 3 Coca-Cola plants operating in the cities of Tashkent, Urgench, and the Namangan region, with $500 million invested and more than 1,500 new jobs created. Annually, about 171 million unit cases are produced, which amounts to over 900 million liters of beverages. The area of the newly commissioned enterprise, which cost $80 million, is 18.5 hectares. It will produce 280 million liters of beverages annually, and 200 jobs have been created.
Plans were also announced for the creation of a new company line in the city of Namangan, costing $50 million, which is scheduled to launch in 2025. The importance of intensifying efforts to attract investments and implement new projects in the country's food industry was emphasized.
In turn, the leaders of The Coca-Cola Company and ANADOLU GROUP highly appreciated the investment climate created in Uzbekistan, which allows foreign investors to confidently implement long-term projects, and expressed their readiness to further expand their business in our country.
