On March 17, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with British Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Timothy Smart.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation on Afghanistan. The parties stressed mutual interest in maintaining a regular dialogue on the Afghan settlement.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining international collective efforts to improve the situation in Afghanistan.
