On February 28, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov held virtual meeting.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of the Uzbek-Turkmen strategic partnership, as well as the progress in the implementation of agreements reached as a result of high-level visits. Making sure everyone's on the same page on the most urgent regional and international matters.
It was emphasized that a trusting, constructive and friendly dialogue at the highest level gives a powerful impetus to the development of multifaceted interaction between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the formation of a new broad agenda for the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, high-quality preparation of upcoming visits at the highest level, the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia and summits in the “Central Asia plus” format.
