Hello, dear participants of the event!
Dedicated employees of culture and art!
I sincerely congratulate all of you on this special Day – the Day of Culture and Art Employees.
For the third year now, we have been celebrating this holiday in high spirits.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude on behalf of all representatives of this field and on my own behalf to the Respected President Shavkat Miromonovich, who designated this day as a special day for us.
Dear friends!
In these happy moments, it is worth recognizing the activities of art creators devoted with all their souls, based on noble ideas, who make a worthy contribution to the formation of the human soul, heart, mind, and worldview.
It is worth noting that we are entrusted with the honorable and at the same time extremely responsible task of developing our national culture.
Relying on your knowledge, potential, and experience along the way, we hosted so many events together in 2023.
In our country, in cities, villages, and remote areas, prestigious international competitions, festivals, days of regional culture, days of culture of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, and cultural and educational events were organized.
All of you are witnesses to all of this.
I would like to draw your attention to one aspect.
The head of our state supports all our proposals and initiatives and gives all opportunities for us.
So, is there adequate response by our side to this attention or not?
– this question always bothers me personally.
To be honest, we still have a lot of tasks and work ahead of us.
Moreover, as you well know, today we live in very turbulent times.
As in all areas, competition in the cultural sector is becoming increasingly intense.
There is a struggle for human consciousness and emotions.
There are even attempts to change and influence national and cultural values for their own selfish purposes.
In such difficult times, it is the sphere of culture and art that must show itself on a large scale as a defender of the spirituality and values of our society.
In other words, the awakening of the people directly depends on culture and spirituality.
In this sense, ensuring the stability of the spiritual environment in our society, strengthening interethnic friendship and solidarity, and educating our youth to be patriotic and selfless is an urgent task for all of us.
In this regard, our esteemed President, at an expanded meeting of the Republican Council of Spirituality and Education, identified many priority plans and tasks.
At the same time, at the end of last year, two important resolutions were adopted aimed at further increasing the level of cultural services to the population and protecting intangible cultural heritage.
From this point of view, many questions and challenges await us in 2024. We have a number of projects and events to implement.
The most important thing is that our people feel our work in this regard, not on paper, but in reality.
To do this, we all need to unite and work shoulder to shoulder.
Only then will we be able to talk about new milestones, new results.
Dear Colleagues!
Taking this opportunity, I would like to once again sincerely congratulate you on today’s holiday and wish everyone good health, energy, and high creative flight.
May peace, grace, happiness, and good luck never disappear from your homes!
May the happiness of serving the development of our country and national culture never leave you!
Happy holiday to you!
Ozodbek Nazarbekov,
Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan
