The Ministry of Culture has introduced a mechanism for establishing state-private partnership projects with investment funds from entrepreneurial entities for the development of vacant, emergency, and inefficiently functioning facilities under the ministry’s control.
Between 2019 and 2024, a total of 48 state-private partnership agreements were signed with local investors, with a total value of 230.5 billion UZS. These projects aim to create a total of 720 new job positions.
Currently, 16 of these projects have been launched, and construction and reconstruction work is ongoing for 29 others (3 state-private partnership agreements were canceled).
In 2024, 15 state-private partnership agreements are set to be signed, bringing in 86.3 billion UZS of private investment, which will create 182 new job opportunities.
Additionally, negotiations are underway for the signing of state-private partnership agreements for the establishment of cultural institutions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Andijan, Tashkent regions, and Tashkent city. The total value of these agreements is 11.6 billion UZS.
In 2025, it is planned to establish at least 20 cultural institutions through state-private partnerships in the sector.
