Summary of the Ministry of Culture’s Activities in 2024
In the field of theater and circus, 10,479 performances were held in theaters, attracting 3.6 million spectators. Additionally, “O‘zbeksirk” organized 556 circus performances, drawing 150,000 attendees.
In the concert and entertainment sector, 7,255 concert events were held in 2024, engaging 10,037,200 people.
In the area of cultural centers and intangible cultural heritage, 837 cultural centers in the country organized over 26,000 cultural-educational and concert events, attracting 2.5 million spectators.
The Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage organized 13 local and 1 international folklore expeditions and documented nearly 250 examples of intangible cultural heritage. Additionally, 50 audiovisual works were created for promotion on the internet and social media. The intangible cultural heritage of “Rubob making and performance traditions” was included in UNESCO’s international representative list.
In the field of creative youth and competitions, 18 national festivals and competitions were held, engaging over 10,000 young artists. Additionally, 14 meetings titled “Leader and Youth” were organized in the regions, bringing together 1,400 young people active in culture and arts.
In education, 2,000 pedagogical staff, professors, and leaders of cultural education institutions underwent skill development, and over 2,600 teachers in colleges were certified.
In the field of interethnic relations, six new friendship societies were established with Belarus, Spain, Canada, North Macedonia, the Czech Republic, and Oman, bringing the total to 42.
Internationally, cultural events under the title "Uzbekistan Culture Days" were held at a high level in 9 countries: China, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Tajikistan, the UK, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Russia. Uzbekistan also hosted culture days for Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, and Qatar. Additionally, cultural events were organized for the 33rd anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence in Russia, the USA, Austria, Malaysia, Belgium, Poland, Russia, and France. Memorandums of Understanding and cooperation programs were signed with eight foreign countries: Belarus, Tajikistan, Russia, Turkey, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.

In theater and circus, 3.8 million people are expected to attend theater performances and 10.2 million people will attend cultural events and festivals.
In the concert and entertainment sector, the International Bakshichilik Arts Festival, the III International Handicraft Festival, the "Silk Road Gem" Tashkent International Film Festival, and international theater festivals will be held.

State concert and entertainment institutions will engage 10.5 million spectators through cultural events and festivals.

14 “Culture Days” events will be held in 50 regions of Uzbekistan based on mutual cooperation between the regions, with high-level participation from creative teams in Karakalpakstan, regions, and Tashkent city.

"Culture Caravan" concerts will be held with participation from famous singers, entertainers, and other artists in various regions.
In the field of cultural centers and intangible cultural heritage, the national center of comic arts will stage new performances, and five works in comic and entertainment genres will be commissioned by the state.
In the area of investments and public-private partnerships, 20 cultural and art institutions will be established through state-private partnerships.
In education, additional literature, sheet music, and video lessons will be developed to teach the performance of national music instruments.
- In each district and city, the report concerts of children's music and art schools, as well as national and modern instrumental ensembles, will be organized with funds outside the budget and from sources not prohibited by legislation.
In the cinema sector, 20 films from the "Living History" series will be produced.
Internationally, “Uzbekistan Culture Days” will be held in over 10 countries, and culture days for five countries will be organized in Uzbekistan. Over 10 memorandums of understanding and cooperation programs will be signed with foreign countries.
