In order to encourage citizens who have worked selflessly in the development of culture and art, raise the prestige of Uzbek national culture and art on the global scale, and realize the potential and abilities of young talents, the Decree No. 236 of March 20, 2019, of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan established the "Cultural and Artistic Devotee" breast badge. This badge will be awarded to those who have made selfless contributions to the field of culture and art.

Today, on December 25, a solemn ceremony for the award of the "Cultural and Artistic Devotee" badge was held at the "Renaissance Cinema House" in the capital. The Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, central apparatus employees, and heads of system organizations attended the event.

The Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov opened the event with a speech.

"You, the dedicated employees of this field, have made a worthy contribution to shaping the heart, mind, and intellect of people through noble ideas, and it is truly worthy of recognition. Together with you, we successfully held many events in 2024.

We organized prestigious international conferences, contests, festivals, cultural days in various regions, cultural days in foreign countries, film days, and cultural-educational events in neighborhoods, villages, and rural areas.

All of these were carried out based directly on your knowledge, talent, experience, and capabilities.

I sincerely express my gratitude to all of you.

Personally, I would call each of you devoted, as working in the field of culture and art is not an easy task. Only those who enter this field truly understand this. In that sense, each of you is devoted to me.

On the occasion of today's festive event, we award a group of devoted colleagues with the "Cultural and Artistic Devotee" breast badge. I congratulate those who deserve this recognition and wish your achievements continue to flourish," said Ozodbek Nazarbekov.

Subsequently, 46 representatives of the culture and art sector who have made selfless contributions to the development of the field and have participated in the successful implementation of the events mentioned above were awarded the "Cultural and Artistic Devotee" badge by Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
