Yesterday, the First Deputy Minister of Culture, Bahodir Ahmedov, visited Bukhara region.
During the visit, he inspected the activities of the 2nd and 6th children's music and art schools in Kogon district, as well as the 18th children's music and art school in Qorovulbozor district, and reviewed the ongoing cultural projects in these areas.
As part of the nationwide "Green Space" initiative, tree saplings were planted. Additionally, the conditions of the buildings, material and technical resources, and the activities of various clubs in the cultural centers were assessed.
During a meeting with officials, discussions focused on the condition of school buildings, cleanliness, landscaping efforts, and improvements in educational and extracurricular activities. It was emphasized that stricter supervision should be implemented to enhance the quality of teaching, increase students’ interest in music and art, expand student enrollment, enrich their cultural and spiritual development, and incorporate innovative and modern pedagogical techniques into the curriculum.
In the afternoon, a "Leader and Youth" meeting was held in the events hall of Bukhara State University, where talented young individuals studying and working in the cultural and artistic fields participated. Attendees included graduates of the region’s specialized Maqom School-Internat and gifted youth employed within the regional cultural administration.
Additionally, a concert was held to present the 2024 activity report of the Bukhara regional branches of the Uzbekistan State Philharmonic and the Uzbek National Maqom Art Center.
During the discussion, opinions and suggestions from Maqom artists and mentors were heard, their contributions were positively evaluated, and the Ministry expressed its gratitude for their work.
