Yesterday, the Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, visited the Scientific-Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.

The primary goal of the visit was to review the institute's material and technical base and hold an open dialogue with the team. At the end of the visit, the institute received essential technical equipment to support its operations.

During the discussion, the minister positively assessed the institute’s achievements, noting its remarkable progress in a short period. He emphasized that all actions and future plans should be grounded in scientific principles. In this regard, the institute’s role in advancing the field was highly praised.

Background: The Scientific-Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan was reorganized on the basis of the former Republican Scientific and Methodological Center for Organizing the Activities of Cultural Institutions. This reorganization was carried out following Presidential Decree No. PF-114 dated July 27, 2023, “On measures to effectively organize state management in the fields of culture and tourism as part of administrative reforms,” and Resolution No. PQ-405 dated December 25, 2023, “On additional measures to develop the protection, scientific study, and promotion of intangible cultural heritage.”
