Education. An innovative open lesson was held on the topic "Coordination and management of the activities of republican organizations within the system of the Ministry of Culture"

Significant progress is being made in reforming the education system in our country today. Opportunities are being created to integrate theory and practice in higher education institutions, tailored to the specifics of the subjects taught. At the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture, an innovative open lesson was held on the topic “Coordination and Management of Activities of Republican Organizations within the Ministry of Culture System”. The lesson aimed to identify talented young culture and art managers, teach creative thinking, spark interest in management and leadership, and study the processes of organizing and managing cultural and art institutions.
The innovative open lesson was conducted interactively among four groups of 3rd-year students majoring in “Organization and Management of Cultural and Art Institutions”. The groups represented the following organizations under the Ministry of Culture: Uzbekconcert State Institution, Uzbek National Maqam Art Center, Uzbekistan State Philharmonic, and the Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The lesson was conducted in a competitive format and included the following stages:
- Presentations on the activities of the assigned organizations.
- Screening of video clips prepared about the activities of these organizations.
- Completion of creative assignments related to the organizations’ activities.
- A quiz on the activities of organizations in the Ministry of Culture system.
- Assessment of students’ image, preparation level, ethical standards, and use of visual aids.
The participants' work was evaluated by the following experts:
- Sayfullo Ikramov, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Culture and Art Management.
- Elyor Sadikov, Dean of the Faculty of Folk Art.
- Manzura Yuldasheva, Professor of the Department of Culture and Art Management.
- Rahima Yusupova, Associate Professor of the Department of Culture and Art Management.
- Turabek Fayziyev, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Culture and Art Management.
- Azizbek Mirzarakhimov, Specialist at the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan.
- Dilshod Karimov, Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage.
- Nodirjon Sabirdjanov, Specialist at the Uzbek National Maqam Art Center.
The participating teams were as follows:
- Uzbegim Leaders.
- Justice.
- Researchers.
- Diplomats.
The open lesson was supported by partners from the Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage, Uzbekconcert State Institution, Uzbekistan State Philharmonic, and the Uzbek National Maqam Art Center. At the end of the project, participants received diplomas and commemorative gifts from the institute and its partners.
