Avazkhon Tadzhikhanov met with Japanese filmmakers

Today, on November 28, a meeting took place between the Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Avazhon Tadjikhanov, and the head of the Japanese company Ceremony Co.Group, Tsukasa Shiga.
At the beginning of the meeting, it was noted that cooperation in the cultural sphere between the two countries has been actively developing in recent years.
Particular attention was given to the film "Unbeaten. The Way to Tokyo" about the Olympic champion Bahodir Jalolov, which was shot in collaboration between Uzbek and Japanese filmmakers. This film served as a significant platform for exchanging experience in the film industry for representatives of both countries.
The Japanese side also expressed interest in film production in Uzbekistan and plans to implement joint projects with Uzbek filmmakers.
Tsukasa Shiga announced his intention to participate in the Tashkent Film Festival, planned for 2025, with two of his own films.
It was confirmed that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the cultural sphere aims at implementing joint film projects to spread knowledge about Uzbekistan’s history and culture among the Japanese audience.
During the warm and friendly meeting, the parties agreed on the development of bilateral cultural ties, not only in cinema but also in theater and other areas, as well as the implementation of joint international projects.
