At the Institute of Uzbek National Musical Art named after Yunus Rajabiy, a seminar was held with the aim of implementing the directives set forth in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan's resolution No. 940 dated November 21, 2019, "On the establishment of specialized schools for maqam art." The main goals were to introduce new information-pedagogical technologies in the educational process, create new-generation textbooks, and review subject-specific programs with the participation of industry specialists.

The seminar was attended by Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, directors of specialized maqam art schools, subject specialists, professors and lecturers from UzMMSI, and talented students.

Master classes and roundtable discussions on the topic were also held during the seminar.

Additionally, during the meeting, Minister Nazarbekov congratulated the People's Artist of Uzbekistan, Hero of Uzbekistan, and member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Munojat Yo‘lchieva.

Note: Maqam art is considered an invaluable cultural heritage of the Uzbek people. The newly established schools are aimed at:

• Studying and developing maqam art: preserving and advancing the rich cultural heritage of maqam by attracting youth to the national art.

• Training under experienced masters: establishing a high-quality educational system led by maqam masters.

• Modern conditions: ensuring all necessary conditions for the scientific and creative development of students.
