PEACE AND GREETINGS, DEAR FRIENDS AND ESTEEMED GUESTS!
The Uzbek and Turkmen peoples have historically been close friends, peaceful neighbors, and strategic partners, living with common goals. Therefore, the roots of the relationship between the two countries go back a long way, based on mutual respect and trust.
Today, it is important to talk about the growing and deepening friendly relations with one of Uzbekistan’s close strategic partners, Turkmenistan.
Indeed, historical efforts have been made to elevate the social, economic, cultural, and educational ties between the two friendly countries to a new level, defining new directions and prospects for cooperation, and developing mutually beneficial partnerships.
In order to promote the ethnographic culture of harmony between the Uzbek and Turkmen peoples, who have lived together with common goals, significant efforts are being made to preserve and pass on the buildings and structures located in the “Uzbek-Turkmen Friendship House” and “Ulli Hovli” complex in the “Turkmans” neighborhood of Goybu village, Urganch district.
On April 23, 2018, the Ashgabat Pavilion was opened in Tashkent city. Turkmenistan Culture Days were also held in our country in November 2016 and October 2023.
Currently, all opportunities and conditions have been created for the functioning of the Turkmen Cultural Center of the Republic in order to preserve and develop the national culture, language, traditions, and customs of the Turkmen people.
Strengthening the ties with Turkmenistan will remain an unchanging priority of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy.
Thus, we will use all opportunities to develop cultural and scientific cooperation with Turkmenistan and further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries.
In turn, this cooperation will enhance cultural exchange among our youth, preserve traditional values, and contribute to the development of our mutual cultures.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION!
