What work is the Ministry's Department for Working with Creative Youth doing?

The Department for Working with Creative Youth of the Ministry of Culture carries out activities related to the creative youth sector under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city cultural departments. Its duties include cooperating with existing creative associations, non-governmental organizations, and teams across the republic, organizing scientific-practical events, competitions, festivals, and other activities. The department is responsible for creating a database of creative youth across the country, continuously updating this data, discovering talented young people, and developing their potential. It also organizes new projects, seminars, training sessions, campaigns, promotional events, concert programs, and conferences related to mass cultural activities, and coordinates and supervises the activities of "Youth Clubs" established in regional departments, providing them with continuous methodological support.
In the first half of 2024, the department organized 14 events, engaging more than 7,200 creative young people, with 163 of them becoming winners and prizewinners. Among the participants in these competitions, one youth received the “Shuhrat” medal, three received the “Kelajak bunyodkori” medal, six were awarded the “Zulfiya” prize, and two received the “Mard o‘g‘lon” state award.
Additionally, regular “Leader and Youth” meetings have been held with young people working in the cultural and artistic fields. From January to September 2024, eight meetings were conducted, engaging more than 900 youth. During these meetings, the issues and suggestions of the youth were discussed, and several problems were resolved.
During 2024, the department organized the following events: the “New Uzbekistan Talents” national competition, the “Youth Spring” young opera singers festival, the “Songs of the Motherland” TV competition, the Assembly of Young Creative Individuals from Turkic-speaking countries in Bukhara, the M. Turgunboyeva National Dance Performers Competition, the “Best Reader” national competition, the Botir Zokirov Modern Pop Singers Competition, the Lazgi International Dance Festival republic competition, the National Maqam Art Direction National Competition, the “Voice of Youth” contest, the “Young Performers Competition named after Jo‘raxon Sultonov and Ma’murjon Uzoqov,” the “Good Mood” national competition, and the Turg‘un Alimatov National Competition.
