Industrial Safety, Conflict of Interest, and Cybersecurity Issues Discussed in Almalyk

A meeting dedicated to industrial safety, corruption prevention, and cybersecurity took place at the Almalyk Mining and Technical Inspection of the Inspectorate for Control in the Mining Industry and Geology. Attended by responsibles from the Central Apparatus and 10 inspection employees, the meeting comprehensively examined key issues regarding legal compliance and risk mitigation at industrial sites.
In accordance with Resolution No. PP-120 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 1, 2026, the meeting emphasized the mandatory adherence to fire and industrial safety regulations across "Almalyk MMC" JSC and all supervised facilities. Measures implemented to prevent accidents and emergency situations were systematically analyzed.
During the discussion, particular emphasis was placed on enforcing the Law "On Countering Corruption." Specifically, the imperative of timely detecting, disclosing, and resolving conflicts of interest was highlighted whenever personal interests might influence an official's objective performance of duties.
Additionally, risks stemming from modern cyber threats and fraudulent schemes were separately addressed. Guidance was provided to increase vigilance regarding impersonation calls, fraudulent executive accounts, and attempts to compromise personal or financial credentials via phishing links. Staff were explicitly reminded that sharing SMS verification codes and Telegram authorization codes with third parties is strictly prohibited.
These preventive measures strengthen integrity, openness, and transparency within the state control system. Preventing conflicts of interest and reinforcing cybersecurity serve as essential pillars for the safe and stable operation of industrial enterprises.
