Uzbekistan and Poland Elevate Cooperation in Mining and Geology to a New Level

On July 27, 2026, First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan F. Khamidova met with the Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Marian Pjezdecki.
During the dialogue, the sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in geology and the mining industry, the implementation of modern technologies, geological exploration activities, and the strengthening of investment ties.
International forums play a critical role in advancing sector cooperation. In this context, both parties expressed strong interest in actively participating in the "Future Mining Forum & Expo" international mining forum, scheduled for September 9–11 in Katowice, Poland, as well as the upcoming "GEOMIN-2026" international forum in Tashkent.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to further intensify direct business contacts and execute joint high-prospect projects. Additionally, the parties agreed to organize a targeted meeting between the Ministry's leadership and a delegation of Polish mining companies during their planned visit to Uzbekistan later this year.
This visit will provide an opportunity to discuss specific investment proposals and technical solutions directly on-site.
Strategic partnerships in mining and geology expand opportunities for modernizing the mineral resource base and attracting advanced technology and foreign direct investment.
