International Hotel Management Centres to Be Established in Cooperation with Austria

According to the agreement signed between the Agency for Vocational Education and Austria’s IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences, international hotel management centres will be established at Vocational School No. 1 in Chartak District, Namangan Region, and the Bukhara Tourism and Cultural Heritage Technical School.
For reference: IMC Krems has more than 30 years of experience in education in the fields of tourism and hospitality. At the initial stage of cooperation, university experts will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the technical schools and develop a practical concept and roadmap based on international standards.
The project will include:
➖ development of modern educational programmes for the hotel and tourism sectors;
➖ professional development of teachers and trainers;
➖ development of dual education and strengthening cooperation with employers;
➖ identification of the infrastructure and equipment required for practical training;
➖ introduction of an education quality assurance and performance evaluation system;
➖ development of international certification and qualification pathways;
➖ expanding opportunities for students and teachers to study, undertake internships and gain practical experience in Austria.
At subsequent stages, based on separate agreements, the organisation of a Train-the-Trainer programme in Austria is planned, along with the development of new international educational programmes in Uzbekistan in the fields of hospitality and hotel management.
