An international education fair titled “Technical Fields Specialized in Training Professional Personnel” was held at the U-Enter Center in Tashkent, providing Uzbek youth with opportunities to enroll in prestigious vocational colleges in the Republic of Korea.
The large-scale event was organized jointly by the Vocational Education Agency, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea, and Korean vocational colleges, attracting nearly 1,000 young participants.
During the exhibition:
Young people met face-to-face with representatives of Korean colleges in one-on-one (1:1) sessions and received direct consultations on admission requirements, scholarships, and life in Korea.
Participants were provided with detailed information on the most in-demand technical fields, including automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, electrical engineering, as well as textiles and fashion.
It was announced that international students admitted to Korean colleges under the project would be fully exempt from the financial guarantee deposit normally required for obtaining a student visa. This represents a significant financial benefit for young applicants.
Discussions were held on mechanisms for aligning the knowledge and practical skills acquired in local technical colleges with advanced educational programs in South Korea.
At the conclusion of the event, a cooperation memorandum was signed between technical colleges of Uzbekistan and Korean vocational colleges to promote mutual alignment of specialties and expand institutional cooperation.
