“Professions Festival – 2026”

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to implement reforms in the vocational education system,” starting from 2026, May 5 will be widely celebrated annually as the “Day of Professions and Labor.” Within this framework, systematic activities will be carried out to increase the attractiveness of professions among the population, especially young people, and to promote vocational education.
In this regard, on May 5, the first large-scale “Professions Festival” in the country will be held in Tashkent at the “Alpomish” Ice Palace.
The opening ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM, and the event will continue until 6:00 PM.
The main goal of the festival is to increase interest in professions among the population, especially youth, to widely promote vocational education, and to guide young people toward modern and in-demand fields.
Within the framework of the festival, large-scale events will be organized across all regions of the republic, including:
— In the “Professions Exhibition” pavilion, students and parents will get acquainted with various occupations and will be able to experience them through modern VR technologies.
— Through the “Job Fair” pavilion, citizens will be introduced to available vacancies and will be able to sign employment contracts.
— The “Work Abroad” pavilion will provide consultations on overseas employment procedures, interview skills, and legal assistance.
— In the “Psychological Counseling” zone, young people will undergo free tests and receive professional career guidance.
The festival will also include open dialogues, startup and innovation presentations, a social video competition, as well as photo and video challenges under the hashtag #KasbFest2026.
Special attention will be given to the social project “One Profession – One Good Deed,” within which technical college students and craftsmen will provide free practical assistance to needy families.
The festival will feature pavilions of international organizations such as UNDP, British Council, Knauf, KOICA, Ex-Im Bank, EFEKTA, as well as local companies and initiatives including Aloqa Ventures, Green University, School 21, Xorijdaish.uz, WorldSkills Uzbekistan, Turin University, and others.
In addition, within the framework of the Day of Professions and Labor, an award ceremony will be held for the authors of the 10 best papers submitted to the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic:
“Current issues, solutions, and prospects for improving the quality of workforce training based on advanced international experience in vocational education.”
At the conclusion of the festival, the most active enterprises, organizers, and talented youth will be awarded. The central part of the event will be held in Tashkent, while similar events will be organized at a high level across all regions of the country.
The festival proceedings will be widely covered by the mass media.
We also note that on the occasion of May 5 – “Day of Professions and Labor,” special congratulatory SMS messages will be sent to all citizens. A coffee break will be organized for guests at the main venue.
The “Professions Festival” is not only about choosing a profession, but also about shaping one’s future.
