The Vocational Education System of Bukhara Region Goes International: Strategic Partnership Established with a Leading Russian University

Within the framework of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” held in Tashkent with the participation of the governments of two countries, an important agreement was reached. In order to strengthen intergovernmental cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Bukhara Regional Department of Vocational Education and the prestigious Ufa State Petroleum Technological University of Russia.
Within the framework of this document, the parties agreed on the following priority areas:
Short-term training courses: Starting from May–June 2026, high-tech training courses will be launched in the fields of “Instrumentation and Automation” (measurement and control systems), “Drilling Operations,” and “Welding.”
Labor export and employment: Graduates of the courses will receive internationally recognized certificates and will be employed not only within Uzbekistan but also at major oil refining enterprises in the Russian Federation.
Social inclusion: These educational programs will involve not only technical school students but also unemployed citizens of the region, ensuring their professional development and employment.
Russian language and professional development: During the training process, specialists will be taught technical Russian at an advanced level.
During the negotiations, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Head of the Bukhara Regional Department of Vocational Education, Azamat Naimov, emphasized that this cooperation would elevate educational and industrial integration between the two countries to a new level.
This agreement will contribute to further improving the system of training highly qualified personnel in the Bukhara region in line with international standards.
