The Anti-Corruption Agency hosted another meeting as part of the “Effective Public Administration” program, implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The event brought together participants of the summer school on “Conflict of Interest Management,” held on July 7–11 this year in the Republic of Latvia, as well as specialists who had taken part in the training sessions held in May at the Agency. The meeting gathered officials responsible for internal anti-corruption control units and independent international experts.
During the discussions, international experts presented their conclusions regarding the measures implemented in Uzbekistan within the framework of the “Effective Public Administration” program. The participants discussed effective mechanisms for managing conflicts of interest, ways to integrate them into national practice, and issues related to the use of international experience.
The event was also actively attended by Miraziz Mirazimov, Chief Specialist of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Plant Quarantine and Protection Agency. He presented to international experts information about the work carried out by the Agency to eliminate corruption risks.
The meeting became an important step towards strengthening cooperation in the field of anti-corruption both at the national and international levels, while also contributing to the development of practical mechanisms for effective conflict of interest management and the exchange of best practices.
