The meeting was attended by the Agency’s management, heads of departments and divisions, Director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Academician Ilhom Sodiqov, and Director of the Institute of Materials Science, Odilxo‘ja Parpiyev.
📑 Academician Ilhom Sodiqov delivered a presentation on the Institute’s scientific potential, achievements, promising projects, and current issues.
As noted during the meeting, the Institute’s 42-hectare research and production site houses the WWR-SM research reactor, the U-150 cyclotron, the U-003 electron accelerator, and a gamma irradiation facility. The Institute produces more than 60 types of radioisotope products, including over 20 ready-to-use radiopharmaceuticals. In 2025, exports of products and services amounted to USD 6.09 million.
🎤 During the meeting, participants considered opportunities for the broader application of the Institute’s capabilities across industrial sectors, particularly in radiopharmaceuticals, radiation sterilization of medical devices, enhancement of material properties, neutron radiography, and high-precision elemental analysis.
🤝 Particular attention was paid to modernizing the Institute’s key scientific facilities, strengthening the capacity of engineering and technical personnel, aligning scientific developments with the needs of domestic industrial enterprises, expanding practical cooperation, and commercializing promising developments.
〰️ At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant tasks were identified to strengthen cooperation between science and industry and to further integrate the Institute’s existing scientific and technological capabilities into industrial sectors.
