Uzbekistan and China Discuss Practical Cooperation on Industrial Zone Development

During the meeting, representatives of the Agency delivered a presentation on Uzbekistan’s economic and investment potential, the Agency’s key functions, and ongoing reforms aimed at developing industrial cooperation.
The presentation also outlined proposals for cooperation on applying China’s Comprehensive Bonded Zone experience in Uzbekistan. In particular, the parties considered engaging an experienced Chinese zone operator, introducing a digital customs system, attracting major investors, establishing a joint development fund, and utilizing China’s technical expertise. The Agency expressed its readiness to implement joint industrial cooperation projects with international investors and technology owners.
During discussions with SCP Consultants, the parties also explored opportunities to apply the experience of Suzhou Industrial Park to industrial zones in Uzbekistan. SCP has participated in more than 2,000 projects across over 14 countries and has extensive experience in the planning of Suzhou Industrial Park.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in continuing practical cooperation in the development of industrial zones, technology localization, industrial cooperation, and the implementation of joint investment projects.
