Expertise France and AFD Define Priority Areas for Green Public Procurement Cooperation

The meeting focused on the development of green public procurement in Uzbekistan, ongoing reforms in this area, and the priority directions of cooperation between the Agency and Expertise France.
🎤 The parties exchanged views on improving the electronic public procurement system, gradually introducing green public procurement practices, strengthening the capacity of public procuring entities and suppliers, and adapting international best practices to Uzbekistan's national procurement system.
✍️ The participants also discussed the priority areas of a 10-month joint action plan between the Agency and Expertise France. The plan includes concrete measures for the phased implementation of green public procurement, conducting pilot tenders for priority products, further improving the electronic public procurement system, developing electronic supplier evaluation mechanisms, enhancing the professional capacity of public procuring entities and suppliers, and integrating international best practices into the national system.
The action plan is intended to support the practical implementation of the responsibilities assigned to the Agency under the Presidential Resolution of 6 February 2026.
🤝 At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly implement the identified priority tasks and continue strengthening their long-term cooperation.
