✍️ Agency Signs Memorandums with Leading Korean Elevator Industry Organizations
2026-06-18 09:50:00 / News

The meeting focused on the development of the elevator industry, technology transfer, and workforce training. In particular, the parties discussed the establishment of a specialized training center, the launch of a local assembly line for elevator control panels, implementation of the “Train the Trainer” program, and the development of internship and certification programs between the two countries.
❗️Why is this important?
Demand for elevators in Uzbekistan is growing faster than production capacity. While 3,009 elevators were supplied to the market in 2025, annual demand generated by newly constructed multi-story residential buildings alone exceeds 5,000 units. This gap is expected to widen further in the coming years.
✅ At the conclusion of the meeting, two important documents were signed:
— A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Agency and Korea Elevator University;
— A Memorandum of Cooperation between the Agency and Korea Elevator Safety Foundation.
✔️ The memorandums were signed for a three-year period and establish an institutional framework for expanding local production, developing human resources, and accelerating technology transfer in Uzbekistan’s elevator industry.
