During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the prospects for strategic cooperation in the mining industry.

The discussions focused on the following areas:

✍️ development of a strategy for the mining sector;
✍️ introduction of international best practices;
✍️ industrial cooperation and localization mechanisms;
✍️ Supplier Development Program initiatives;
✍️ mechanisms for measuring local content share;
✍️ technology transfer and improving the competitiveness of local enterprises.

💬 It should be noted that during the International Investment Forum held the previous day, the Agency’s Director also met separately with representatives of McKinsey & Company to discuss key areas of future cooperation.

🤝 At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to implement joint initiatives aimed at supporting the sustainable development of Uzbekistan’s mining industry.
