During the meeting, the parties comprehensively discussed priority areas for improving the Agency’s activities, modernizing the public procurement system, and developing industrial cooperation. Both sides emphasized the importance of adapting international best practices to the national context in order to build an efficient and sustainable governance model.
➡️ The discussions focused on the following areas:
✍️ introduction of a PMO (Project Management Office) system to ensure effective management of industrial cooperation projects and support localization processes;
✍️ transformation of public procurement based on the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) principle to stimulate local producers;
✍️ development of a modern digital management infrastructure covering all areas of the Agency’s activities;
✍️ implementation of AI-based analytical systems for monitoring market prices and analyzing KPIs;
✍️ establishment of a “Procurement School” to enhance professional capacity and facilitate knowledge exchange.
The cooperation will be based on the following principles:
✍️ adaptation of international experience to the conditions of Uzbekistan;
✍️ simplification and effectiveness of management models for practical implementation at the local level;
✍️ proper change management throughout transformation processes.
✔️ Following the meeting, the parties:
✍️ defined first-phase tasks within the “Quick Wins” strategy;
✍️ agreed on cooperation mechanisms and formats for working meetings;
✍️ discussed timelines for developing the Agency’s institutional and digital models.
This meeting marked an important step toward introducing advanced international practices into the Agency’s operations, accelerating systemic reforms, and enhancing overall efficiency.
