Uzbekistan Strengthens International Cooperation in the Fight Against Corruption

The seminar focused on strengthening internal control systems and aligning them with international compliance standards. It gathered representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency, government institutions, and international organizations.
I. Yuldashev, the Chief Specialist of the Committee for Anti-Corruption Oversight, emphasized that adopting international practices and modernizing internal audit mechanisms are crucial to improving transparency and efficiency in governance.
Participants learned about European methodologies in risk management, audit processes, and compliance assessment, while also discussing the importance of openness and civic participation in countering corruption effectively.
Globally, corruption remains one of the most pressing challenges undermining stability, governance, and trust. Uzbekistan, as a signatory to the UN Convention against Corruption, continues to align its reforms with international standards and expand cooperation in this field.
At the conclusion of the training, participants developed practical recommendations aimed at strengthening internal control frameworks within their institutions. It was noted that education, transparency, and international partnership are the most effective tools for combating corruption and ensuring sustainable governance in Uzbekistan.
