International Conference on Key Issues of Uzbek Philology Held in Jizzakh

The conference was organized by the Department of Methods of Teaching Uzbek Literature under the Faculty of Philology. Scholars and professors from various regions of Uzbekistan took part alongside leading academics from Tajikistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, who presented research papers and delivered scholarly reports.
During the opening session, speakers emphasized that Uzbek philology is increasingly gaining recognition as an important field within both national and international academic discourse. Among the participants was Ilhom Yusupov, Chairman of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment of Uzbeks in Tajikistan’s Sughd region, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and recipient of the “Dustlik” Order, who shared insightful perspectives on the conference theme.
“In today’s globalized world, the application of modern methodologies, innovative approaches, and academic integration plays a crucial role in teaching the Uzbek language and literature,” he noted.
Throughout the conference, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on current development trends in Uzbek philology, contemporary approaches in literary studies, and the use of digital and innovative methods in education. The academic exchanges fostered experience-sharing and laid the groundwork for future collaborative research initiatives.
According to the organizers, the conference served as an important platform for advancing Uzbek philology, aligning teaching methodologies with modern standards, and encouraging young researchers to actively participate in academic and scientific endeavors.
