“Saodat” Magazine Marks Its 100th Anniversary with a Ceremonial Event

Speakers highlighted the magazine’s unique place in the history of Uzbek journalism and its invaluable contribution to shaping women’s literature and intellectual thought. It was emphasized that for a century “Saodat” has served not only as a print publication, but also as a spiritual platform promoting enlightenment, culture and moral values among women.
During the event, participants noted that throughout different historical periods the magazine consistently prioritized issues of women’s dignity, family values, spirituality, literature and the arts. Its pages have featured works by renowned writers and poets, as well as emerging authors, many of whom found recognition through the magazine.
The speakers also underlined that “Saodat” continues to evolve in line with modern times, actively reflecting women’s social engagement, creative potential and role in contemporary society.
The event was attended by S. Davlatova, Head of a Department at the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad, who emphasized the magazine’s role in fostering cultural harmony and shared values.
