The Committee on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots abroad of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Organizers noted that Jalaquduq has historically been home to both ethnic groups, who have lived side by side in an atmosphere of mutual respect. The event aimed to strengthen young people’s understanding of intercultural cooperation and promote values of harmony and respect.

Students performed traditional songs, showcased national clothing, and presented theatrical scenes depicting customs, hospitality and cultural values common to both nations. Special attention was given to performances reflecting shared principles such as respect for elders, peaceful coexistence and tolerance.

Local officials emphasized the importance of such initiatives for youth development. “This event is more than a celebration — it is a space for dialogue and deeper understanding,” organizers commented.

At the end of the program, students exchanged views on fostering friendship and cultural unity. School administrators announced plans to continue hosting thematic events and educational activities focused on the cultural heritage of various ethnic communities.

Experts believe the Jalaquduq initiative can serve as a successful model for strengthening interethnic harmony throughout the region.
