National Agency for Energy Efficiency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

A working meeting was held between the National Agency for Energy Efficiency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ESMA) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the introduction of modern financial mechanisms in the field of improving energy efficiency and sustainable development, as well as the possibilities of implementing joint initiatives.

Representatives of the Agency presented national initiatives aimed at modernizing public buildings, developing the energy service (ESCO) market, and improving digital monitoring tools.

In turn, representatives of the AIIB noted that the development of green infrastructure and support for sustainable urban development are priority areas of the bank’s activities and expressed readiness to implement grant and credit projects jointly with ESMA.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare proposals for joint projects, expansion of cooperation, and achievement of practical results.
