Uzbekistan and Russia: Deputy Ministers Discuss Further Improvement of Higher Education Institutions

On November 1, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Otabek Mahkamov and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilyovsky. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration and heads of a number of universities from the Russian side.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the development of the activities of branches of Russian universities in our country, in particular, strengthening their material and technical base, establishing new educational areas based on needs, and implementing a number of educational projects.
During the conversation, the status of implementation of existing roadmaps for improving the activities of branches of Russian universities in Uzbekistan was also considered. The parties agreed to jointly take necessary measures to resolve existing issues.
At the same time, the “N.E. Views were exchanged on the work being carried out to establish a branch of the federal state budgetary higher educational institution "Bauman Moscow State Technical University" in Uzbekistan. In addition, the possibility of implementing projects proposed by this university aimed at identifying and selecting talented young people interested in the engineering and technical field and training them as qualified personnel was considered.
