Cooperation with Korea in Ensuring Employment of the Youth of Uzbekistan Discussed

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov received a delegation led by Congressman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kwon Young-jin. The parties held talks on the further development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher and professional education.
In particular, Minister K. Sharipov reported that 5 higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan closely cooperate with 7 universities of the Republic of Korea, joint educational programs for undergraduate and graduate degrees have been launched.
- The opening of a new joint educational program of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and Yeungnam University of South Korea is very pleasing, - the minister said. - It is expected that our cooperation will expand within the framework of the "2 + 2" program.
The parties also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of education to ensure employment of the youth of Uzbekistan.
