Gatis Ozols, in turn, praised Uzbekistan's rapid steps in digitalisation and expressed readiness to cooperate in this direction.
In particular, the sides discussed issues of training Uzbek researchers in the doctoral studies department of Riga Technical University, exchange of experience, which will contribute not only to the development of digital infrastructure in our universities, but also to the creation of new educational programmes oriented towards the future.
The parties agreed to explore the possibilities of applying in practice Latvia's experience in providing digitalisation services by merging several higher education institutions into a single centre.
At the end of the meeting, the parties acknowledged that today's meeting is an opportunity to discuss further steps that can be taken for joint development in the field of higher education and science and expressed confidence that the dialogue will be fruitful and will lead to concrete results.
