The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov met with the Project Coordinator of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Uzbekistan Antti Karttunen.
At the meeting, the high potential of the youth, who make up 60% of the population of our country, was recognized, and the issue of attracting Uzbek youth to the OSCE Academy, located in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, was discussed.
The parties discussed inter-university cooperation, promoting the rule of law among students, parliamentary elections to be held in October this year in our country, joint work on regional issues and plans for the future.
“The OSCE is ready to support the government of Uzbekistan in all its initiatives,” said Antti Karttunen.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint practical work.
