For information: the republican working group of the Ministry of Ecology is currently conducting research on improving the environment in the regions, increasing tourism potential, and ensuring the effective use of forest lands.

During the raid on the territory of the mahallas "Kiet" and "Gulshan-2" in Khiva, a number of illegal cases related to the sale of secondary raw materials were revealed. In particular, it turned out that illegal secondary waste collection points were established on the streets of Ruzmat Otajonov and Ibrat by citizens of S.N. and O.O.

According to these facts, administrative protocols have been drawn up in accordance with part 1 of article 91 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility in relation to offenders engaged in the purchase of secondary waste from citizens and their sale to recycling enterprises without any relevant document. A fine of 1 million 125 thousand sums was imposed on each of the offenders.

Also, an explanatory conversation was held with the offenders about the procedure for receiving household waste in accordance  with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to improve the waste management system and reduce their negative impact on the environmental situation" dated January 4, 2024 No. 5.
