In the coming years, in line with the relevant decision of the Head of state, efforts will continue to digitize the operations of medical institutions across all regions of the country. To this end, modern technologies are being implemented, and advanced "smart" equipment is being installed.
As part of these ongoing efforts, the gradual implementation of the "Electronic Polyclinic" and "Electronic Prescription" programs is underway.
On January 21, the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the unified integrator "UZINFOCOM", held a presentation of the Republic's unified digital healthcare platform on the theme "Digital transformation of the healthcare system".
The event was attended by leading officials from the Ministries of Health and Digital Technologies, representatives of relevant government agencies, specialized medical institutions, and regional administrations.
The presentation presented the capabilities and advantages of digital medicine, illustrating the digitization of medical institutions' operations through the lens of a doctor’s professional journey.
The newly implemented systems will enable doctors to access and update patients' medical records online from any region of the country. It was highlighted that integrating more than 50 previously separate information systems into a unified platform has eliminated numerous inefficiencies for users.
In addition, the digitization process has made medical services more accessible to the public. The implementation of these systems will increase the efficiency of doctors and ensure that patients receive timely and accurate medical care.
The event concluded with a performance of the song "New Uzbekistan Medicine", symbolizing the fusion of cutting-edge technology with modern healthcare, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.
The ongoing digital transformation of Uzbekistan’s healthcare sector marks a crucial step toward elevating the country’s medical services to a new level.
