The State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces an open competition for the position of Head of the Press service department - Press Secretary.

 

 

Stages of the competition:

Essential requirements and responsibilities relevant to the position:

 

Requirements: 

1.    Availability of higher education (in specialities: journalism, international journalism and public relations, print media and publishing, economics, philology);

2.    At least 5 years of work experience in journalism and information service in state organisations;

3.    Skills in promoting a positive image of the organisation, organising PR-campaigns, conducting information campaigns aimed at broad public awareness of the reforms being implemented in our country;

4.    Fluency in Uzbek language (knowledge of Russian, English and other additional foreign languages is an advantage);

5.    Knowledge of legal and regulatory documents related to the activities of the State Assets Management Agency, in particular, the relevant department;

6.    Ability to independently use information and communication technologies, Internet, e-mail, network technologies and necessary software;

7.    Ability to perform assigned tasks responsibly and independently, perseverance, organisational skills, initiative, ability to work in a team, as well as compliance with ethical norms appropriate to the status of a civil servant;

8.    Ability to clearly express his/her thoughts and proposals, as well as knowledge of the culture of office management.

 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

1. Providing regular, complete and prompt information to the public on the activities of the State Assets Management Agency through the media, social networks, official websites of government agencies and organisations, as well as other information resources, including the organisation of press conferences, briefings and press tours;
2. Developing and implementing measures to highlight and inform about the process of socio-political and socio-economic development of the country within the framework of UzSAMA activities;
3. Forming and promoting a positive image of UzSAMA, conducting sociological surveys and studying public opinion in various formats;
4. Effective cooperation with the media, dissemination of operational information among journalists and bloggers who constantly co-operate with the information services, as well as ensuring broad public participation in the discussion of draft legal and regulatory acts;
5. Monitoring and analysis of the information space, prompt response to criticism and information attacks taking into account the interests of the Employer, organisation of dissemination of information on the activities of relevant state bodies and organisations through the media and the Internet;
6. Preparation of news, briefs, commentaries and other information and analytical materials for publication in domestic and foreign media;
7. Studying public opinion and positions of national and foreign mass media regarding UzSAMA system activities, developing relevant proposals and regularly informing the management of the results;
8. Forming and regularly updating the database of text, photo, audio and video materials related to UzSAMA activities;
9. Conscientious and qualitative fulfilment of other functions stipulated by the job description.
